🎄✨ Liberty Launches First- Lighting Ceremony and Dazzling Holiday Events with Lights in Liberty
Liberty, TX — The City of Liberty is proud to unveil its most radiant holiday celebration yet: Lights in Liberty, a season-long series of festive events occurring each Tuesday from November 18 through December 16.
This will be the first time Liberty has officially lit the entire Vara Faye Martin Daniel Park located in the City Hall Square - an impressive kick off for five weeks of magic, music, and community joy.
🌟 Lighting of the City Hall Park – November 18 at 6:30 PM Join us for a truly unforgettable evening as Liberty lights up the heart of the city for the very first time. The Lighting of City Hall Park Ceremony will feature:

Live pre-lighting music by Drake, Cannon, Collins Families starting at 5:30 PM
 - 
Face painting by the LHS Art Honor Society
 - 
Over 66,500 twinkling lights in (City Hall Square), Vara Faye Martin Daniel Park & Pavilion, with photo opportunities for kids of all ages
 - 
A Global Geocache Challenge that connects Liberty to holiday seekers around the world
 - 
A Local Scavenger Hunt designed to bring families together as they explore festive landmarks and hidden treasures throughout the city

Free refreshments for the first 300 people from First Liberty Bank. Each week additional local businesses and/or organizations will sponsor free food.

Local vendors and food trucks surrounding City Hall Park.
 
This inaugural lighting event is more than just a flick of a switch—it’s the beginning of a new tradition that brings Liberty together under the glow of holiday lights.
These weekly Tuesday events begin at 5:30 PM every Tuesday evening from November 18th to December 16th, Liberty will host themed holiday events starting at 5:30 PM, featuring music, food, vendors, and community show cases. Each week brings something new—whether it’s "HighLIGHTing Local Merchants", watching multiple Rays of LIGHT from the spectacular parade, sharing your LIGHT via local churches and nonprofits, or having LIGHT-hearted fun in the snow at Liberty Municipal Library. Come share in the light, the laughter, and the love of the season. Lights in Liberty is more than an event—it’s a celebration of community, tradition, and the joy that shines brightest when we come together.
